Biography

Daniel "Reride" Smith was born in Oakland California in 1961. He lived with his family in Seiad Valley California until just short of his 18th birthday. Dan was given the opportunity to learn the importance of family values and the rewards of hard work and commitment. Dan enlisted into the U.S. Army during his senior year of high school. One month after graduation he was shipped to Missouri to begin training. Upon completion of training he spent the remaining six years as an Airborne Ranger stationed at Ft. Bragg North Carolina. He served in Missouri, North Carolina, and Georgia, along with a few exotic locations. Dan left the Army to pursue a career in rodeo, earning three circuit championships in saddle bronc riding. During this time, he was deemed the nick name "Reride" and it has stuck with him to this day. While building his rodeo career, "Reride" began to study psychology and acting in both North Carolina and later Idaho. After moving west in 1996 he built his horse and cattle ranch called Huck and Polly, and soon "Underground" produced by Sony Pictures.
