Biography

Christine Avery is a multi-hyphenate actress, producer, host and writer. Growing up in Fort Myers, Florida, she began her journey studying dance when she was only four. She even went to NY to study with the New York City Ballet. But by puberty, Christine realized her true passion included speaking. Starting in school plays and community theatre, by sixteen she had her big break as a professional actress - playing a cut dancer in A Chorus Line at the local dinner theatre. Christine spent her last two high school summers studying acting at both Yale and UCLA Schools of Drama. That sacrifice paid off when she was able to graduate early with a Bachelor of Science in Film Production from Boston University. Her love of filmmaking brought Christine to LA and it wasn't long before she was discovered and immediately hired as the Executive Assistant to the Executive VP, TV at Dick Clark Productions. While she loved impressing people with the length of her job title, she happily accepted a promotion to Creative Coordinator and host of DCP's web series Snap Snap! In June 2013, she left DCP to pursue her own creative projects. Since then, she has become SAG-Eligible and placed 28th out of 27,000 for the new media competition, The Reel Deal, which was a show completely focused on self-branding and highlighting one's unique talents. In April 2014, she created the sketch comedy team, Zeus School, and won the iO West sketch competition two months in a row. She and her team have since started producing and filming some of the sketches. Christine is also helping produce the sitcom pilot, Jane Don't Date, which just surpassed its $5K Kickstarter goal.
