Biography

John Christian Wedge was born on March 20, 1957 in Binghamton, New York. After graduating from Fayetteville-Manlius High School, Wedge went to study at the State University of New York at Purchase, where he received a BFA in film, and soon after that he went on to study at Ohio State University, earning him a MA in computer graphics and art education. Wedge began his career as an effects artist for films such as Tron , Blue Sky Studios was finally established in to one of the top animation studios in the United States.

Chris is a 1981 graduate of the SUNY Purchase film department.

He received his Master of Arts degree in Computer Graphics and Art Education from the Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) (formerly CGRG), under the Ohio State University.

Attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School, near Syracuse, New York.

Grew up in the Flushing section of Queens, New York.

Never outgrew Saturday Morning cartoons; he credits them for inspiring Blue Sky movies.

He is good friends with John Lasseter, who founded Pixar Animation Studios, who also introduced William Joyce to Wedge.
