Biography

Born in Oxnard, Ca., Chris has always been a part of the creative community. Growing up his parents often found him writing stories or recreating football games in the back yard, including his own radio play by play. Chris studied Radio/TV/Film while playing football at the University of Oklahoma. He career in television sports began in 1986, when as a student he was asked to operate a camera when a snow storm made it impossible for CBS to bring in a full crew for a nationally televised basketball game. Before leaving Norman he produced and hosted a weekend sports radio show. Shortly after college Chris was hired as a sports producer in Gainesville, Florida. This job also gave him his first opportunity to work on a feature film. Ron Howard's Parenthood was on location in Central Florida and Chris gripped for the assistant to the Cinematographer, Donald McAlpine. During the 90's and the early 2000's Chris honed his skills in the television production world working with ABC, CBS, ESPN, Fox Sports Net and the Florida Sports Channel. 2005 brought Chris' first opportunity in the documentary world when he produced the first of 3 documentaries, Anatomy of a Fraud. Chris wrote and directed the final two Anatomy of a Fraud documentaries. These critically acclaimed programs aired on PBS. In 2013 he directed his third award winning documentary, Pride, which also aired on PBS. In 2015 Chris created, produced and directed his first dramatic project, American Con, starring Rex Linn, James Carroll and Mark Adam Goff. In late 2016 Chris signed to produce his first feature film, The Rules for Armadillos.
