Appeared in the movie, Any Day Now , which dealt with bigotry against gays in the 70s. Also starred in the television show, Any Day Now , which addressed racial prejudice in the 60s.
He appeared in the music video to Supertramps Brother Where You Bound . The video, in which Mulkey plays a renegade defense technician, was controversial due to its (then) perceived graphic depiction of violence. Coincidentally, it was the longest song Supertramp ever recorded clocking in at 16 and a half minutes.
Is naturally left-handed, but plays the guitar with his right hand.
