Chris Caswell was an American harp maker, multi-instrumentalist (Celtic harp, Scottish bagpipes, Irish flute, tin whistle, and bodhran), singer-songwriter and teacher based in the San Francisco Bay Area. During the 1970s he was a member of [a=Robin Williamson & His Merry Band], appearing on three of their albums. He formed the duo [a=Caswell Carnahan] with [a=Danny Carnahan] in 1978, recording and releasing two albums for the [l=Kicking Mule] label in the early 1980s. He released two further albums in 1999 and 2001. Caswell died of cancer on January 21, 2013 at the age of 60.
