Caelum Vatnsdal is a director and writer based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. His films include the coffeehouse drama Black as Hell, Strong as Death, Sweet as Love and a rock picture called We're the Weakerthans, We're From Winnipeg. He has made rock videos, commercials, dramas and documentaries, and has a particular fondness for horror movies. He has worked on many projects with Guy Maddin, and is also the author of a history of Canadian horror movies entitled They Came From Within.
