American drummer, born 28 January 1943 in New York City, New York, USA, died 5 October 1985.
Belfast-born writer who was held hostage in Beirut, Lebanon from 11 April 1986 to 24 August 1990. His book "An Evil Cradling" gives an account of the time he was held.
Not to be confused with Brian Keenan (1942-2008), the late Irish Republican member who served a 13-year jail sentence for conspiring to cause explosions and later played a key role in the the Northern Ireland peace process.
