Biography

This Irish born director won an RTS award for best experimental drama on his first production as a student in Northern Ireland. After a stint working as a full time actor and then director in the UK and USA, he moved back to the UK were he started his full time television career as a Camera Operator at ITV. At 22 he became a full time director of studio productions and whilst at CiTV in Birmingham he was offered a full time Director's job at the BBC. So far, Brendan has been responsible for directing Nelly Nut Live! the BBC's first live, BAFTA nominated, CGI animation programme and has helped pioneer the CBBC eXtra brand creating, producing and directing specials for Dr Who, CBBC Drama and Ask Aaron the BBC's first interactive children's debate show. Currently, he is directing 5 episodes of "Dinosapien" a drama filmed in Alberta, Canada due out in 2007.
