Biography

Brayden Patterson is an Actor, American Film Director, and producer. Brayden Patterson is the stage name for actor Brian Newman. He started his career very young as a background actor in a Christmas play put on by his church. It took him a while to realize that acting was what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. He had thrown the idea around to his parents and other family members who were skeptical, but somewhat optimistic about his chances of becoming an actor. At some point he decided that once he graduated high school he would go to college to be a police officer, just in case the acting career didn't pan out. The first big step he had taken to really get the ball rolling was going to an audition for a talent agency. His first audition went well and he got accepted into the agency as an actor. He was then enrolled in professional basic acting classes at his new agency that he attended during his freshman year at his new college. He was not with the agency long before he was asked to attend iPOP which is the "International Presentation Of Performers." This would mean a trip to Los Angeles, CA to stay in the Hyatt Regency Hotel for a week and attend the iPOP conference. This could have been the break that he was looking for and dreaming of. The offer was extremely exciting, but since it would have cost him about $4,000 to attend and there was no guarantee that he would get signed, the financial risk was too much to take so the offer had to be rejected, for now. Since then, he had been cast in an independent feature film called "Hercules: The Brave and The Bold." He played a lead role in the film. The film had also gotten him an opportunity to be on television. The Mayhem Network did a TV show by CAW Productions called "Thrive TV," and he along with some of his fellow cast members, were on one "Thrive TV" episode promoting their film. Brayden's next job was an extra in the short film called "Hero-Man." "Hero-Man" was submitted to different film festivals around the world. 2012 turned out to be a good year for Brayden as he had been cast in a full length feature film called "Documenting the Dead." He had a supporting role in that film. He was also cast as the lead male in a short film called, "Anne Waits". As 2012 wrapped up he continued to work on a project called "To Inflict". "To Inflict" is a short film that he was a co-storyboard writer, co-producer, and an actor in. They finished that project and premiered it on January 19th, 2013. He played a civilian in the short film "Resolve" that premiered on March 23, 2013. 2013 had started off with a bang for Brayden, and he really had a good feeling about that year! He had signed with Manikin Model and Talent Agency based out in Jacksonville, FL. He was also on an episode of the TV show "All About Business - St. Louis". The episode aired on ABC 30 on October 25, 2014. It will also stream on iAMFlix. 2014 has shown evidence of topping 2013. On January 3, 2014 Brayden was booked to play a civilian from District 13 on the film "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" both part 1 and part 2. He also was booked on June 1, 2014 for a role as a high school student in the film "Goosebumps". He has officially taken a break from getting his Bachelor's Degree so that he can devote more time to his acting career, hoping that one day he will make it to Hollywood.
