Biography

Braden R. Duemmler was born and raised in Southwest Connecticut, just outside New York City. He studied as a Film Theorist at the University of Vermont before pursuing his Masters in Film Production at the University of Southern California. Braden excelled in Film Theory, becoming the first Film major at the University of Vermont to win the coveted Dugan Folley Award. In addition, he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, a National Collegiate Scholar and with John Dewey Honors, Senior Honors and the Presidential Scholarship. After completing his Bachelors Degree, Braden attended the University of Southern California's Prestigious School of Cinematic Arts. His first short film, "She Always..." went on to win New York City International's Best Student Film. Afterwards, he crewed on many projects as a Cinematographer, including HBO's American Black Film Festival's Best Short Film, Fig, Directed by Ryan Coogler . His work behind the camera earned him the Thomas B. Bush Cinematography Scholarship handed out, once a year, to the boldest and brightest Cinematographer at USC. After school, Braden returned to his true passion, Directing. As a Film Theorist who champions visual storytelling, he longs for any opportunity to push the Cinematic envelop while maintaining the core of great movie-making: story.
