A great insight to learn more about the saints. Great author!.
I bought this book thinking that Dubay would expand on his thoughts from other books but that is not what this book is. It is merely a repetition of those thoughts.
Father Dubay, author, retreat master and spiritual director, draws on Scripture and the lives and writings of numerous saints to explore such questions as what makes saints better than 99 percent of the rest of us, why saints are joyful even in suffering, and how sinners become saints. He acknowledges that the likes of Augustine, John Henry Newman, Catherine of Siena, Teresa of Avila, and Peter Claver are extraordinary heroes and heroines, yet repeatedly spells out ways in which we can imitate them and perhaps achieve our own "unspeakably enthralling destiny in the resurrection and the beatific vision.
