Really like her exercise plan and diet regimen expressed in her book. Very clearly written and easy to follow.
I have wanted this book forever and finally got it! I have read and re-read this book.
Martina is a good writer so her books are better than the typical athlete's. There is a lot of useful information here & good, healthy recipes.
This was a great book for learning how to care for your body. But, Martina, what about your mind?
This book is the ultimate fitness book> It is readable, informative and really full of valuable necessary savy information.
This is a book that is written in a basic format that gives you step by step guidelines for getting fit physically, and mentally get back in the "game" of excersise and overall health. Pictures for the excersises are very helpful in doing the excersise with the correct form and technique.
Martina's simple steps to slowly incorporate into your life are awesome. By just cutting out a few things and being a slightly more diligent shopper, I have found that I have an amazingly more energetic and positive outlook on my longterm life.
I like the format of the book. It's an easy and informative read.
This has probably ben the best non fiction I have read in months. I read it cover to cover and now I am up and running to go after my New Year's resolutions.
I was looking forward to this book as Martina's story is a fascinating one, but the book didn't deliver what I expected. It is quite badly written and seems to jerk along from topic to topic.
I bought this book because I heard Martina talk about it in an interview. She expresses herslf so well for someone not raised in the US.
While Martina gives expansive -- and useful! advice on nutrition and fitness workouts, as a long-time avid tennis player I enjoyed the insight into her as a person.
This is such a excellent book - It takes into consideration the holistic approach to body, health and fitness! And how many fitness books can you call a "great read" that is well rounded, informative and gives me great recipes to boot.
This is a very effective book for living a healthy and fit life. Martina did a great job with this.
I really noticed a huge improvement in my core strength after I started doing the exercises Martina suggests. I am a runner and competitive road cyclist and over the cycling season my core strength usually deteriorates.
