This was a very enjoyable memoir. I grew up with the shows MacLeod is famous for, namely Mary Tyler Moore and The Love Boat, but he's done so much more.

For all of you sentimental "Love Boat" fans, you need to read the book, This is your Captain speaking. Gavin MacLeod is incredibly detailed as he accounts much of his 60 plus years in the entertainment industry.

It was thrilling to discover this book last week while I was searching for a cruise ship captain costume for my 8 year old to wear for Halloween. I loved watching The Love Boat when I was growing up!
