Born Bonita Shawe in the United Kingdom, she is a British dancer who became a successful theatre producer and director. She was married to 'Nigel Lythgoe' , along with four grandchildren: Kyan, Tighe, Dominie and George. In 1969, she auditioned for BBC's "Young Generation" dance troupe, where she met her future husband, Nigel. She was a member of the troupe until Nigel became it's choreographer. Bonnie eventually became a successful choreographer.
