Mild-looking American character actor. Born Frank Billerbeck, he saw action with the U.S. Army in France during World War II. He stayed on after the war, working as a street performer in Paris and was a featured clown with Cirque Medrano. Beck first appeared on screen in French feature films and American TV episodes shot in France. He returned to the U.S. in 1960 and acted in many small supporting roles, often as no-name characters until 2009.
