Biography

Bill's folks refused to buy him a Super 8 at a young age, so despite industry clichés he did not make short films as a kid. His parents did let him pursue a career in the arts, however, so at least there's that. After graduating from The Art Center School Of Design, Bill went on to direct multiple documentaries, television series and commercials, working with brands such as Vans, Nike, Converse, Bud Light and more. In 2003 he founded Windowseat, a multi-faceted entertainment production company with arms in digital media, TV and film. After a decade producing and directing a variety of content all over the world, In 2013, Bill directed the documentary feature Chasing Giants, an intimate exploration of big wave surfing legend Shane Dorian and his complex relationship with Mother Nature. Kook, which he co-wrote and will direct, is in pre-production and will shoot in fall 2016. A Mile High and Adrift are both in development and are expected to go into pre-production in 2017. Bill has produced a number of films under the Windowseat banner including The Bachelors starring J.K. Simmons, Julie Delpy and Odeya Rush; The Adderall Diaries, starring James Franco, Amber Heard, Ed Harris and Cynthia Nixon; Barely Lethal starring Jessica Alba, Hailee Steinfeld and Samuel L. Jackson; and Crash Pad, starring Domhnall Gleeson, Thomas Haden Church, Nina Dobrev and Christina Applegate.
