Born in Hong Kong, Ben Ng's love for film was sparked in his high school's after-school program. Ben is a natural camera person, using the camera to capture the moment, create emotion and tell a captivating story. Initially attracted to documentary production, Ben interviewed locals from the Lower East Side, where he filmed the Jewish owner of a hardware store who shared her harrowing survival of the Holocaust. This process reinforced the significance of camera work for Ben, where he begin working on narratives and music videos. Ben uses his lighting ability to enhance environment, mood, color and images for the sake of storytelling. In 2004, Ben's earned his B.A. in Film Production at Brooklyn College. Now, Ben is following his passion, using his craft and becoming an amazing seasoned lighting technician and cinematographer. Ben's cross cultural experience serves to broadened his vision and perspective. His recent work includes lighting for shoots with Comedy Central, USA Network, MTV and HBO. He also did lighting for Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson and Enrique Iglesias music videos. Recent camera work includes shorts, independents, music videos and documentaries.
