Mother of Georg Richter

Sister of Gerd Egede-Nissen and Ada Kramm born Egede-Nissen.

Together with her husband and actor Georg Alexander she founded her own film company which produced besides an Aud-Egede-Nissen serial also a Gerd-Egede-Nissen and a Ada-van-Ehlers serial. Ada van Ehlers impersonated the first female detective.

After the sound film "Zwischen Nacht und Morgen" she retired from the film business. Her name came up only one time more in the movie "Hansen og Hansen".

The Norwegian actress Aud Egede Nissen became an actress because of her sisters Gerd Egede Nissen and Ada van Ehlers who both were actresses too.

Till 1919 she played - most under the direction of Georg Alexander - in nearly 30 movies.

When she met the director Bjrn Bjrnsson in 1913 she played in her first movie called "Scenens born - Wenn die Liebe spricht". After that she went to Germany and became soon a demanded actress for the German silent movies.

Aud Egede Nissen was married with the actors Georg Alexander and Paul Richter.

In the 20s followed some movies with the most famous directors of this time such as "Anna Boleyn" directed by Ernst Lubitsch, "Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler" directed by Fritz Lang, "Lucrezia Borgia" directed by Richard Oswald and "Die Austreibung" directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau.
