Assumpta Serna was born in Barcelona, Spain. She studied Law but abandoned it for her real passion, acting. Her career has spanned over 103 films and TV projects in over 20 countries. She has won more than twenty best actress awards throughout the world , they have taught over 11,000 hours and trained over 4,000 actors, actresses, filmmakers and business people.
Has had long time relationship with actor Patrick Bauchau.
Speaks English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan and Spanish.
Replaced Diana Pealver in the role of Teresa Moreno in the Sharpe series of films when Paul McGann s injury caused Sharpes Rifles to be re-shot with Sean Bean in the leading role. She went on to star in the first four of the Sharpe films.
