Biography

Born in Hollywood, California, Aram Mandossian grew up in the early 80's infatuated with movies and music in the culturally diverse climate of Los Angeles, strongly influenced by artists and composers including Beethoven, John Williams, Metallica, Stravinsky, Gipsy Kings, and Bad Religion. Aram has been making music since the age of 7 from piano lessons, to playing guitar in rock bands throughout high school and college, taiko drumming, and producing music. Aram's professional career began composing original scores to student films in college which shortly led to writing for features. Aram earned his Bachelor of Music in composition from California State University, Northridge, and his graduate degree at the famed 'Scoring for Motion Pictures' program at the University of Southern California. At the heart of Aram's music lie dense organic textures, simple themes, repetitive rhythms, the nostalgia of the old world of cinema blended with all the grit, force, intensity and production of modern rock, electronic and sound design infused soundtracks.
