Biography

Actor. Born in Franklin, Indiana on December 28, 1923, he was raised in Texas and went to college at Indiana University. There, on a speech and drama scholarship, he began to act and perform however this was interrupted by being called into the service. In World War II where he saw action overseas, he was befriended by actor 'Melvyn Douglas' . It was in 1954 that he married the Broadway actress Elizabeth Logue whom he always called "Betty". Both Andrew Duggan and his wife were cremated, their ashes scattered at Lake Arrowhead, California.

He was the voice of Father/Narrator in the second generation 1975 Carousel of Progress, the first version to premiere in Walt Disney World. Rex Allen was the original Father for the 64/65 Worlds Fair Carousel of Progress which was later moved to Disneyland in 1967.

Graduate of Indiana University (Bloomington)

After having a cancerous lump removed from his vocal chords Duggan acquired a raspy voice which enabled him to have a lucrative career doing both voice-overs and TV commercials.

Portrayed President Dwight D. Eisenhower three times, President Lyndon Johnson once and dozens of generals and military officers.

His wife Elizabeth Logue died of cancer in Santa Monica, California on June 7, 1988, less than a month after his death. She was a dancer and actress from New York, born on August 10, 1932. They have three children together: Richard, Nancy, and Melissa.

He was also the voice of at least one bird during the outside show just before entering "The Tiki-Tiki Room" at Walt Disney Theme Parks.
