Biography

French composer and conductor. He was born 8 August 1905 in Paris, France and died 20 December 1974 in Paris France. He was the pupil of Paul Le Flem and Edgard Varèse. In 1936, together with Yves Baudrier, Jean Yves Daniel-Lesur and Olivier Messiaen, he founded the group "Jeune France" to promote the new French music. He wrote mainly chamber music and concertos .
