Was married to her companion of 13 years, Miguel ngel Surez , in the Metropolitan Hospital (Puerto Rico) chapel three days prior to his death.
She has often performed with her daughter Belange Rodrguez. On one occasion, in Carlos J. Serranos stage play "The Ortiz Sisters of Mott Haven," she played her daughters older sister.
Her daughter, Belange Rodrguez, is also an actress.
