Biography

After graduating Dux at the University of Sydney, where he received numerous prizes and scholarships. To further support his education, Alex worked as a tutor, clerk, paralegal, intern and landscaper. Halfway through his degree program he was offered work in theatre and thereafter soon started working as an actor in independent film and television projects. After turning down opportunities to star in feature films and popular soap operas in order to continue law school full-time, Alex eventually had to choose between accepting professional television work or pursuing graduate job opportunities.

Was a prefect in high school and on the SRC at the University of Sydney, where he worked as an editor for student publications. While at university he received a Merit Scholarship, Academic Scholarship, the Alan Kendall Scholarship for Acting, a Student Writing Fellowship, the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.

Alex was selected for OnSTAGE (an annual showcase of outstanding individual and group performances by year 12 students) and topped the state of NSW in HSC Drama.

Attended the same high school where Julian Morrow (The Chasers), Anh Do (Footy Legends), Adam Spencer and Tom Williams (Dancing with the Stars) completed their schooling.
