Akhat Ibrayev was born in Almaty city, Kazakhstan. When he was 16 he left his hometown to study in U.S. In 2009 he received Bachelors Degree in Film Directing and Producing from Columbia College Chicago, with honors, under the famous Kazakh Presidential scholarship "Bolashak." He served as CEO of "ADIGUL films," production company based in Almaty city, which produces numerous TV commercials, TV series and films. Today he serves as Co-Chair of "Kazakhstan Film Union," and Head of Production/General Producer in government owned "Kazakhfilm studios."
