Adrian is an award winning composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with a background in both music and fine art. Canadian by birth, he grew up partly in Germany where his father played french horn in the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra. This musical environment and the rich dramatic tradition of the opera shaped his passion for storytelling early on. He went on to study classical and electric guitar as well as visual art, and eventually found his calling as a screen composer, a profession which utilizes his visual, dramatic, and musical sensibilities. Adrian first came to note with for the music of the hugely popular Canadian Screen Award nominated series Out With Dad. Recent feature film credits include his hybrid score for The Scarehouse , as well as work on Canada's long running morning show, Canada AM. Adrian is the Vice-President of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada. An advocate of the value of screen music and the importance of the filmmaker/composer relationship, he is a regular speaker at international events and festivals including TIFF and Hot Docs.
