German actor and voice actor
Versatile leading stage and screen actor, trained under Gustaf Grndgens in Dsseldorf from 1947. In addition to prolific theatrical work in Berlin and Munich, he was known for his distinctive voice, used to good effect in radio plays and as the German dubbing voice for actors like Raymond Burr or Fred MacMurray.
During World War II, he served as a cadet on the training ship "Horst Wessel".
