German screen actor, popular in the 1930s. He grew up on his fathers hacienda in Guatemala, returning to Germany at the end of World War I, subsequently taking acting classes at the Berliner Schauspielschule. Fuetterer began in silent films and was at his peak in the pre-war period, often playing second leads or the sympathetic friend of the hero. Relegated to supporting roles, he moved to Spain in 1957 and became proprietor of a caravan park.

Fuetterer grew up in Guatemala , where his father ran a Hacienda. In 1919 the family returned to Germany and settled in Lbeck.

The actor Werner Fuetterer began his film career at the tender age of 18 with the movie "Die Brder Schellenberg" (1925). Already his next movie was a worldwide success. With his part as an archangel in "Faust" (1926) his name went around the world.

After World War II came a string of further productions into being.
