Virginia Lee was best-known for her small, but key role, as "Jeannie" in the jazz bar scene of the classic film noir, _D.O.A. , and four grandchildren. She died on Nov. 22, 2008 and was buried at Tan-Yan Cemetery in Camas Valley, Oregon.

She won awards in the "Inter-City Beauty Contest" as the most charming professional, and a second prize trophy in the "Bathers Revue".
