In her brief but noted screen career in the late 1950s, vivacious blonde Sally Fraser ran screaming from spiders, aliens, monsters and giants and straight into minor cult filmdom. While not handed many roles that would show off her true acting mettle, Sally, whose slight resemblance to 'Marjorie Lord' and TV and well into the 60s until she decided to retire to raise her family. She eventually moved to Idaho in the 80s and lives on a cattle ranch. Her husband has a manufacturing business.
Was the original "Betty Anderson" on "Father Knows Best" in the pilot. They went with Elinor Donahue in the series because they wanted someone younger.
Peggie Castle was originally cast in It Conquered the World but had to pull out of the movie. Roger Corman asked for Sally but she was already several months pregnant. Corman saw her, thought she would be fine and worked around her scenes with close-ups. The movie took five days to shoot.
Now lives on a ranch in Idaho with her husband.
People are still interested in many of [my] films. Anyone can watch,Giant from the Unknown (1958) , for example, and still find it a,pleasant and fun way to pass an hour or so, and I am proud of that. .
