Sandy & Junior was a Brazilian vocal duo formed by the siglings [a2914384] (1983) and [a4130302] (1984). Sandy was the lead singer of the duo, while Junior was responsible for the backing vocals, as well as playing instruments such as guitar, guitar and drums. Influenced by musicians in the family, a pair saw their professional trajectory in music, made concrete after an appearance on the Som Brasil program, in 1989, where they sang "Maria Chiquinha". They attracted the attention of businessmen and record labels and signed a three-album deal with PolyGram. The following year, they started recording their first album, Aniversário do Tatu (1991), which was certified with gold by Pro-Música Brasil (PMB).
