Kentucky AFC was established in 2001 after they changed their name from Cacan Wy Experience. In 2003 the single Bodlon was recorded, and this proved to be the band's signage for years later. Later that year the single double-A Outlaw / 11 was released . This is the year when the band's laborers carried fruit. The Kentucky AFC won five awards in the RAP Radio Cymru over the years including the Best Session, Best Newcomer, Best Single (for Outlaw / 11 recorded by Super Furry Animals producer Gorwel Owen), Best Live Band and Band of the Year.
