Tara Gregson (Toni Collette) is suffering from a dissociative identity disorder. Max Gregson (John Corbett) is her long suffering husband.
This is classified as a "comedy" but in fact it's so much more than that.People that aren't living with loved ones that have serious mental illness may take a show like this as silly and overdone, or as fake.
I came across this Stephen Spielberg series on a TV show and movie provider, while I was searching for something entertaining to watch in under 30 minutes per episode. Being a Toni Colette fan, I decided to give "The United States of Tara" a try.
Wish I had found this earlier! Toni Collette has always been a favorite of mine and the tests of the cast is amazing.
This show is about a family whose mother has multiple personality disorder. The casting and acting is stellar!!
I'll admit the end was rocky but overall the series was great.
I always had a thing for Toni Colette and Brie Larson. I fell in love with Max and Marshall, and the actors that portrayed them.
Spoilers! Just watched a season & 1/2 in a day (recovering from surgery).
I absolutely loved this show! Why oh why didn't they make a 4th season?!
