Reviews

While this movie could have been more exciting, and was most likely limited by it's small budget, It is saved by great realistic dialogue, it's portrayal of every day people to perfection and exceptional casting. It's worth it just to watch the performances of Beth Broderick as Dot, good time gal and dance instructor and the phenomenal performance of James Hebert in the lead as Webb.

In this Texas thriller we follow the character of James, a college dropout with no family, and Webb, a con who just got released from prison and has a debt to pay. The film starts off with James(Skyy Moore) coming home from college to come to his grandma's house to find her in the middle of a stroke and eventually die in the hospital.

This was a good film noire – a favourite genre of mine. It is minimalist – with sparse dialogue.

This movie almost ruined the entire film festival for me as it was the first one I saw of the festival and made me lose all hope.I think film schools should use this movie to show people why it's important to go to film school (cause the director clearly didn't)It's just a poor mans Coen brother film.

I wanted to like this movie so I stuck with it. I'm glad I did.

I didn't know much about this before seeing it, and perhaps that's why it surprised me in some of its plot developments. In retrospective, it all makes sense from the start in terms of what it is aiming for, but I guess for some reason I didn't see it.

When things go bad, they can get really bad. After a young man loses his grandmother, he inherits her house and is harassed by a conman who has been manipulating her for her money.

Two Step's narrative, actors, sound, and cinematography all deliver exceedingly well, in this fantastic thriller, drama, action, low budgeted film. These factors get better and better as the movie progresses.

From the start the film pulls you in and takes you on a wild ride that is full of raw brutality yet shocks you with compelling believable story-line. I was reaching for a seat-belt while sitting on my sofa but I couldn't even blink thinking I would miss something.
