The Story of Us

The Ford Expedition's rear window defroster appears and reappears during different driving scenes.

Ben's wine glass and the bottle during dinner with Stan.

When Katie and Ben are in the first restaurant, Katie is shown eating with a fork in her right hand and a knife placed between her two plates.

In the reverse shot the knife is gone.

On the drive to pick up the kids from camp Ben has his head turned toward Katie, but in the reverse angle Ben is looking straight ahead then turns toward Katie.

Not the most original story, but it just works. If you expect an enjoyable movie, you can go no wrong with this one.

Thought provoking. May be encouraging to questionable relationships.

Bruce Willis takes a break from action flicks to star with Michelle Pheiffer in The Story Of Us about two married people whose marriage seems to be going off course. After 15 years they're marriage is in crisis mode.

I enjoy Hallmark Movies here and there, a great escape, and not too heavy on the mind.This film however was bland AND vapid, and that was a disappointment as I'd talked my Mother into turning the CNN off and joining me for a Hallmark movie.

Those who watch this movie will not laugh much. But, this movie is a comedy of very high quality.

The Story Of Us is a wonderful movie in its own subtle way. I won't go into specifics about the plot, as many others before me have already done that.

The wonderful thing about The Story of Us is that you can watch it and make up your own mind. There is no right or wrong opinion, and depending on where you are in the path of your life, you might end up changing your mind if you watch it more than once.

The Story of Us (1999): Dir: Rob Reiner / Cast: Bruce Willis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Rob Reiner, Rita Wilson, Tim Matheson: Drama about the endurance of relationships that might have worked had the couple not argued over the stupidest things. We could probably find quicker solutions to the dilemmas Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfeiffer face here.

I do not know who makes the reviews here and of course it is their right but this movie is not a 6. It is a 10.
