Reviews

So many great things about this movie. Let's start with the extraordinary performance of Jamie Leopold and Jennifer Smieja, who never acted before and yet they're so truthful, raw, intense.

What a wonderful movie! I enjoyed it from beginning to end!!

Nicely set in the beautiful Pacific Northwest this moving tale of romance and life is well scripted and well acted. The story has good pace and keeps you engaged right until the end.

A great little indie film that deals with universal themes we can all relate to. I watched this with a friend, I thought it was made like a documentary , so real I thought it was a documentary at first.

Everything about this film is natural and honest. The music and scenic backdrops are characters unto themselves, and you feel as if you are watching real life, not a scripted narrative.

Mahalia Cohen delivers a poignant drama about an aging songwriter meeting an unexpected muse. Jaime Leopold is totally charismatic and likeable in the lead role.

I was drawn into watching The Last Hot Lick after seeing some good festival laurels on the poster image. It did not disappoint.
