Right from the beginning I felt for the main character, there is a real kindness to him that fills you with compassion. This drama gets really dark at times, terrible things happen to this kid but it is still a feel-good movie because he finds himself through his passion for country music and uses it to get up on his feet, no matter what life throws at him.
As the title suggest, this is indeed a sweet film. Most of the characters follow their heart, and music is at the core.
His passion to create drives this country music Orpheus to tragic loss, to fame and fortune, and ultimately back home to redemption. The lead actors bring big hearts, charm and earnestness to their roles.

Sweet Sunshine is a well-crafted heartfelt film with great music and even better acting. Sweet Sunshine follows two kids trying to find their voices in a small town.
And so it goes for singer-songwriter TJ Millhouse (John Way). This is a feel-good story about a man who finds a break, loses it, and finds it again.

I watched 15 minutes or so of this film and thought it was so bad, I went to this IMDb site to see what ratings it got. I was floored.
