Saw the first Bad Ben around when it came out and wasn't too impressed. Liked it but put it at 4 here.

Steelmanville Road is the follow-up prequel to Bad Ben, an independent horror film from Nigel Bach, who also crafted this return. Let's go ahead and get this straight: there is very little to like about this movie.

Having seen Bad Ben, Steelmanville Road was the next place to go. If you want the maximum out of the films then watch them in the order of Bad Ben then Steelmanville.

That the Steelmanville Rd House has become a one strange man cave over every inch of the house outside and in progressively over each film? We already get the explanation for the cameras throughout in this film BUT anyone else catch these fun things in all the films?

Adding some actors (friends?), a camera or two (maybe not even that), and more simple but well-executed FX, a worthy prequel to the original.

When you make a horror movie in your own house but your wife won't let you make it look creepy or get fake blood on the floor. Overall, meh.

I tried to hang in there because I've seen Bad Ben and was curious. The acting was terrible, the special effects were horrible, and I couldn't manage to stay tuned into the plot after about a half hour.

Bad Ben (previous movie) wasn't awful, it knew it's limits with FX and such, so it didn't reach. The ghost effects in this are laughable, the night vision is just a sloppy green filter over the footage.

Just wasted 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back! One of the worst don't waste your time!
