I LOVE this show!! I am just re-watching it and I can't believe I actually love it even more the 2nd time!

Like previous seasons, but more so being a 6-part epic, this season stops short of a complete masterpiece, due to some extremely unlikely coincidences at the base of its plot, only two of which are that so much major crime could actually occur or be linked to an otherwise secluded and peaceful place as the Shetland Islands, and that it would still be handled by the tiny local police force of such a location. Fortunately, by the time these unlikely narrative ends are all tied at the very end, we will have absorbed so much beauty, authenticity and love-ability of the places, scenes, music, storytelling, acting and above all the characters and their relationships - that these shortcomings are easily forgivable and barely affect the overall experience.

More, please? Still waiting to be able to watch additional seasons on Britbox.

SHETLAND offered a very pleasing experience, especially the story, that mind blowing sceneries and perfect cast...the theme music is the main highlight...

Shetland is a truly great series. From the very first episode it sets a high standard.

I have watched two seasons now.It was iffy after the first two part story but after that it was quite good.

All I can say this is how a detective work should be shown. No gun no drama, just pure story..

We discovered the series this Spring 2016 – the third series. Hooked quickly on the well-played drama.

Ann Cleese's characters are recreated exceptionally well in this Tv series whose main character, DI Perez has an excellent team around him who do a great job in the adaptations from the novel. Series 4 and 5 are not based on the novels but they are amazing additions to the already well played first two series.
