So, after watching for years the star gate franchaise i really looked foward to see this new idea. But....
I have really enjoyed all of the Stargate series, but I've never liked the aspect that existed with SG1 and Atlantis of the wisecracking team leader. It was just too corny.
Very good show and in my opinion better the SG1/SGA. The star of the show Robert Carlyle and I can say that he is carrying the show.
I really enjoyed Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis mainly for there great story arcs through that continued throughout the series. I like many people got excited when Stargate Universe came out especially considering Robert Carlyle is a main character, that was until I sat down and watched the First episode.
Well, Firstly, Just to show how serious I am, I made an IMDb account today just so that I could rate this series. A measly 7.
I am a hard science fiction lover and there is so little of it on TV that I will gladly watch what is available (including Star Gate Universe (SGU)). It seems to me that good science fiction (sci fi) TV programs have similar elements and I would like to write a little about how SGU does not have these characteristics.
Very dullI've tried to watch this show at least a dozen times & cannot keep my mind on it. It's like a Battlestar Galactica soap opera.
If not for the cancellation after a really fantastic season two. I admit I was amongst the nay sayers when it first aired, but I still kept on watching and I'm glad I did.
"SGU: Stargate Universe" is a TV-show that tries to fill a gap. It seems there's an audience out there looking for the next Lost.
