Change is not always a good thing and this show definitely is guilty of that. Some say its fresh and their absolutely right.
Many old TMNT fans will say this show sucks because it's different from the past iterations, and fair enough it is. But, they don't give the show justice, yes the first episode isn't that great but a lot of shows pilots are usually rubbish.
Some fans have really been hard on this new iteration because change as a whole is not always taken in a good way. But this version is really praiseworthy, the animation, the comedy, the family bond as a whole, give it life.
I do not do many reviews but sometimes i feel the urge when i see a misunderstood and underrated animation like this one.If you have seen Studio Ghibli Movies (which i hope you have for your own sake), i higly recommend you to watch this series which is full of references and scenes with is totally inspired by those movies.
I watched 2012 and the 2003 versions of the TMNT and Rise of the TMNT is my favorite iteration of the show. I like the changes they made to make the show feel fresh like Raph being the leader and Splinter being a jerk in the beginning.
This is the best tmnt series,i am a big fan of tmnt after watching this tmnt series i saw this is better than the rest,the characters are amazing especially leo's new behaviour,and also april's new looks as a afican american this series is better than the rest,the comedy,family,fighting are just perfect, people who are downgrading this series should try and open their hearts and watch this series not making up your minds that it's bad it is an amazing cartoon and i commend the creators of this series they did a perfect job i give this series a highest/highest.
I've never seen any previous version of TMNT but thought I'd give this a watch and I was not expecting to fall so hard in love with this show! The animation I could go on for days about and there's plenty of heart in between the hilarious jokes (also A+ voice acting).
The vibe of this show is great, it's light-hearted, colorful, and fun, the voice acting and delivery is stellar and suits the show very well. I really love it!
