I purchased this movie from Amazon, well expecting it to be a low budget creature feature, although I had hoped that it would be one of those fun ones you know, the ones that are so bad that they are actually fun to watch. But that was not the case with "Piranha Sharks".

Launching a new product on the market, the creators of a new holiday creation involving genetically mutated great white sharks to be the size of piranhas to use as pets find the fish have gotten free and ravaging the city, forcing them to turn to a pair of inept exterminators to stop them. This was a pretty underwhelming if still slightly watchable effort.

Got this in a supermarket under the name 'Jurassic Piranha' & knew it was going to be one of those SyFy films with cheap nasty effects & loads of clichés & bad script etc.I wasn't surprised as it had cheap CGI effects, over used clichés & a very short run time of 73 minutes.

You have a great premise about bioengineered sharks the size of goldfish, and you see tanks of fish, briefly, or a fish being cut-up, but the first "terrifying" attack after they are released into the city water system (New York City's if I remember correctly), is the so-so death scene of a "sexy woman" in what I can safely call a gross bathtub. If a realtor showed me that bathroom (or the house attached to it), I'd have to fire her.

Nano sharks originally planned for military use are being marketed for the general public and have become a craze. Once flushed into the NYC system they become a problem.

As that was the ONLY decent 6 seconds of the movie. The rest of it is filled with sleezeball characters (Kevin Sorbo was a particularly nice touch on the sleeze meter) vapid, scantily clad skanks and sheer stupidity.

"Piranha Sharks" is an effective parody of the numerous shark films that have been released in the last few years. So how does one parody "Sharknado" and its progeny?

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Bad acting, bad talks, bad scenes and bad graphics.

First things first, will admit to not expecting much. The premise sounded ridiculous and it looked pretty bad.
