This is another masterpiece that is seemingly too smart for mass-consumption. The public demands crap like The Connors or Somebody has talent with a mask, ugh.
I'm impressed! This is the best series I ever saw!
There are some writers in literature who wrote one book next to which all their other books, though good in themselves, suffer from the comparison.In television too coming after a masterpiece isn't easy and even though the plot and characters are great Perpetual Grace does not match the level of detail, wit, cleverness and inspiration of Patriot (not that I think it's possible).
This show had me from the off. The casting the writing timing and chemistry of this show is unbelievably good.

Binged watched this over 3 days which might have been a mistake. Great acting though, when there was some, and a compelling story line, but there were too many long, drawn out and repeated filler scenes of landscapes, walking, driving or brooding faces set to music.
That Paul Allen Brown (Damon Herriman) is Charles Manson in Mindhunter and OUATIA. My mind is blown.
This show reminds me more of the Amazon web series Patriot than some of the other shows mention, even similar to another Epix series Get Shorty. And it makes sense as to why it's so similar to Patriot in theme with it being written and created by the same guy, Steve Conrad and even featuring many of the same actors.
