The cinematography, the audio and sound, the actors, the set designers, the editors, the writer and the director did an exceptional job on this film.
Paul is a very well-produced, well-acted film that presents a picture of early Christianity during a very dark, yet very hopeful period of it's history. A film about Paul's travels might have been more "entertaining" but this movie shows the seriousness of Christianity even during intense periods of persecution.
This is as splendid movie in many respects. The beginning scenes, and indeed throughout, brought home to me as never before the courage of the early Christians, most of whom were willing to die in horrible ways rather than renounce their faith.
Then again, I'm a crier. It was so refreshing to see played out in movie fashion what it may have looked like during Paul's life.
So Jesus died in the first Passion. Here in the unofficial sequel Jesus has reincarnated into the body of a Greek physician called Luke.
Tiresome retelling of a much told tale without fresh insights. We can do better.
Thiis is not about action or a revenge movie.
I liked this film. Acting great.
"Paul, Apostle of Christ" is a Biography - Drama movie in which we follow the life of apostle Paul when he was a prisoner of Nero in Rome. Luke travels to Rome in order to write his story before his execution.
