Reviews

In 1952, the Ford Foundation created two funds for educational television. One was for publicly supported TV, and it evolved into the modern PBS.

This short film was interesting, the best part I must say is the unique film work, great angles and the freehand was excellent as well. looking forward to Omnibus2 (revenge of the bus driver) working title = Crazy Magoo.

Omnibus is a great short film that takes an ordinary situation and gets a lot out of it. It has an entertaining comic mood to it while still portraying some serious issues.

I first saw this film years ago as part of a submission for a short film program. Mr.

Omnibus is far from being a great film, but I must respect the filmmakers for making a very solid debut at the young age of 15. Choosing to make your first film around a cast of twenty 5-16 year olds is quite a task.

"Omnibus" is a French 8-minute live action short film from 1992, so this one will have its 25th anniversary next year. It was written and directed by Sam Karmann, an Ehyptian-born filmmaker, and this was his very first work behind the camera.

A man boards an omnibus assuming it moves to Cateau and panics when the conductor informs him it no longer does. His destination is midway and it is imperative for him to reach in time.

WE LEARNED LONG ago with the earliest days of this series that OMNIBUS (Ford Foundation, 1952-61)means all encompassing. We can testify from first hand experience that it was, indeed that.

This short film will haunt you. It takes you deep into the main character's life and habits, and then you realize how much you look like him, and how much this story sounds true.
