A very thorough documenting of MLK's political activism and attempts by the FBI and others to shut him down for political and ideological reasons.Using the latest info available on him, it connects all of the dots and reveals his work to bring about equality and his frustrations with the forces who were preventing that.

MLK/FBI is an excellent, excellent documentary/film essay with high production values, but it's important to note off the bat that the intended audience are viewers who already have a basic knowledge of the major beats of the Civil Rights Movement in the US. This is a documentary very specifically about Martin Luther King's persecution by the FBI, not about the Movement in general, so foreign viewers (and sadly, some US ones) might want to glance over a couple Wikipedia articles before seeing the film.

This had the potential to be a good movie, the story is fascinating but unfortunately it couldn't have been told in a more bland fashion. There is nothing visual about this movie, it might as well have been a podcast.
