I love SMG4, it's easily my favorite channel on the internet, but when Kevin and Luke's new series "Meta Runner" was announced back in 2018, I instantly went on board with the hype, considering their new character they introduced to SMG4 at that time, "Tari." This guy has never disappointed me before!
Meta Runner is a very great series made by Luke and Kevin from SMG4 and their team. The story is intersting and I thing this is the start of a very intresting story line.
As someone who has watched smg4's content since the beginning of the channel it feels like the creativity and charm has fallen off and has been replaced by corporate crap, and you think this show is a good example. The writing, acting, animation, and stories are cringe and overused.
Perhaps my rating for this show is a bit high as I am personally a bit biased as I have been watching SMG4 for a good part of my life but I genuinely really like this show, definitely my favourite web series on YouTube. However on an objective stand point, this show is flawed, the animation has a lot of issues in season 1 and the story is admittedly quite cliche and the characters do follow a lot of stereotypes, fortunately, it is really good at it!
Let's dive straight in. NO wait, before you say anything like "oh but dude you didn't watch the whole season" or "you're just a salty SMG4 hater", let me tell you this right now.
This show is incredible sometimes the acting gets a little ehh but most the time its beautiful. The ending(I wont spoil it)is really cool.
Meta runner was made by a small team of people, which was honestly incredible. I have lots of positives and negatives with this series though.
