Madonna: Truth or Dare

Supposedly the live footage is filmed in the United States (she even greets the audience by saying 'Alright America do you believe in love' but they zoom out so far that you can't see her lips moving).

In the United States Madonna was wearing the ponytail.

In all the live footage she has curled hair.

This means the show was actually filmed in Europe (according to the credits, it was in Paris).

There are several references to the live footage being filmed in America, especially Like a Virgin in Toronto and Keep it Together (the technical problems) in Los Angeles, even though that footage was also filmed in Paris.

When Madonna is talking to Chris after the show in Detroit, her ponytail is removed first, then it's back on, then we see it getting removed again.

Yeah. OK.

While, I do like some of Madonna's music, and can easily tune in to them. This controversial, no-holds-barred concert film about singer Madonna's 1990 Blond Ambition tour, was still a hard watch for me.

As a simple concert video, this one is above average. But the title is very misleading.

What made me see this documentary for real for the first time( I did see it when I was 16. in the middle of the 90is but i didn't pay that much attention to it) was actually documentary about the dancers from this tour called "Strike a pose" released a year ago.

As a documentary about a pop icon as well as a live show, i can only appreciate it in the light of others and for me it means the U2 ones, and especially Rattle & Hum as those 2 projects are really similar...so about the musical part, U2 knocks down Madonna as all her live show vignettes are pretty awful: her stage is ugly, the choreography totally boring and the sexual action totally inappropriate!

Madonna is a cultural icon and this documentary portrays her life during Blond Ambition tour and relationship with her dancers.Madonna is not afraid to show her true self which may seem racy and unacceptable to unintelligent people.

"Truth or Dare" is a documentary that follows the escapades of pop queen Madonna and her backup dancers during her infamous 1990 Blonde Ambition World Tour. Some of her performances from this tour are included, and are filmed in color, while the moments she is not performing are filmed in black and white.

It's hard to believe, it was made in 1991! So ahead of its time in everything - in directing, in approach how to show a super star, in level of freedom and creativity.
