During most of the outdoor shots of the castle during the blizzard, strong winds can be heard whistling about, but the snow is falling nearly vertically.

Everyone assumes Ray is dead long before his body is found.

It's easy to jump to conclusions when all the other missing people turn up dead, but it's strange that no one wondered if Ray might have killed them.

There was no city called "Budapest" in 1489.

The cities of Buda and Pest were not merged until 1873.

Reviews

Definitely not the greatest werewolf movie but, it's still great fun. The overall acting was good considering the era it was made.

After some appalling sequels, there probably was no place for this movie franchise to go but up.Howling V was a step in the right direction with a good, classic era horror movie setup: A group of seemingly random strangers travel to a mysterious castle in Hungary where no one has set foot in 500 years.

Right, well eight years after the original 1981 "The Howling" movie we were treated to "Howling V: The Rebirth". Indeed.

This is one of the better horror movies shot in the period right after the fall of the Iron Curtain in Eastern Europe. It's not a great by any means - in fact it borrows heavily from the 1970s film "The Beast Must Die" (itself a riff on the "Ten Little Indians" theme), but it is kind of fun in its way.

Very slow moving and hard to make it through. It never explains the back story and important details.

THE HOWLING V: THE REBIRTH has a group of travelers trapped in a Hungarian castle. Unsurprisingly, they are picked off one by one by some hideous beast.

Neal Sundstrom - yes, the director of Space Mutiny - made this, the fifth of many werewolf movies that are not always connected. This time, the movie plays out like a furry Ten Little Indians.

First off let me just say that I am a big fan of all of these types of movies. Secondly I love this movie to date matter of fact I watched it again last night.
